Mexico: Global Green and Healthy Hospitals Builds Momentum
Mexico — On 27th November, GGHH Founding Members, the National Institute of Pediatrics, the Mexican Network of Pediatric Hospitals, together with HCWH partner organization the Center for Analysis and Action on Toxics and Alternatives organized the first Global Green and Healthy Hospitals Meeting in the country. Representatives from more than 12 different national hospitals along with the Mexico City Ministry of Health participated in this event.
In the meeting, hospitals shared their experiences, projects, achievements and progress as GGHH members. Other institutions interested in improving public environmental health in Mexico were encouraged to engage in the strategy proposed by the GGHH Agenda. Participants also committed to organize a conference on environment and health during 2013.
