Giving to HCWH
The Benefits of Giving
The benefits of supporting Health Care Without Harm are many — knowing your gift is helping to make hospitals the healing environments we all expect them to be, joining a community of other generous supporters and staying current on the significant changes happening in health care through publications and special events.
Your Gift at Work
As investors and advocates for hospitals to become high performance healing environments for you, your family and friends, a gift will:
- Help hospitals phase out medical devices that contain toxic chemicals, such as polyvinyl chloride, and replace them with safer, cost competitive and FDA approved equipment.
- Move hospitals toward utilizing "green energy" which, coupled with efficient designs, will conserve energy, reduce costs, impact the environment and create green jobs.
- Assist hospitals undertaking renovations, retrofits and new construction in building "green" facilities.
- Encourage hospitals to find pragmatic solutions that will enhance patient and workplace safety.
- Assist hospitals in moving toward offering organic and healthier food that will benefit their patients, staff and visitors as well as influencing how food is produced and distributed.
We hope you will help to support our work!
